I know nothing about this car, and have only ever seen one in person once at a car show. This story is pretty cool; and the photos are well-taken and capture the spirit of the car well.

I live in Northern Virginia and commute into Washington D.C. The bridges over the Potomac River (and the highways that approach those bridges) are severe traffic chokepoints. I've often pondered whether I could commute quicker (or at least, with more fun) in an Amphicar.
Imagine the look on drivers' faces as they sat in traffic on the 14th St bridge while I puttered up a boat ramp into D.C.
